Apply to work at Summer Day Camp
We are seeking energetic, upbeat, and hard-working individuals to work at camp this summer! If you are someone who loves spending time with children, loves being outdoors, loves playing and having a good time, and are responsible and caring, we want you to apply to work at FBC Waco’s Summer Day Camp!
The following positions are available:
Counselor – A counselor’s main responsibility will be to maintain the children’s safety while leading and participating actively with the children in games and activities. A great counselor will be involved, caring, and responsible, and trustworthy!
Counselor/Worship Leader – A Counselor/Worship Leader will have all the responsibilities of a counselor, however, instead of teaching a Skill Time, they will be responsible for planning our daily camp worship sessions. A great Counselor/Worship leader will have the characteristics of a great counselor, and also be able to plan/lead worship in creative ways!
Head Counselor – A head counselor will have all the responsibilities of a counselor, however, they will have the added responsibility of caring for and encouraging the team of counselors. A great head counselor will have all the characteristics of a great counselor and will be a natural leader!
Camp Pastor – The Camp Pastor will mainly be responsible for developing the camp’s chapel curriculum and delivering child appropriate sermons or messages throughout the summer. A great camp pastor will be engaging, creative, and able to relate well with children in grades 1-6!
Support Staff - Support staff are the people who make camp happen! They will be responsible for managing and maintaining camp resources including following counselor’s instructions for the setup of skill time activities, regularly checking free time and skill time equipment, planning for and distributing snacks and water throughout the day, coordinating cleaning of facilities, and shopping for necessary supplies and equipment according to the directors’ instructions. A great support staff member will be responsible, able to pick up directions quickly, and a hard worker!
Office Assistant – An office assistant will be mainly responsible for managing the camp front office – answering phones, taking payments, and other paperwork/organizational tasks as assigned by the directors. A great office assistant will be very organized, efficient, friendly, and able to relate well with parents, children, and the rest of the staff!
