Apply to work at Summer Day Camp

We are seeking energetic and hard-working individuals to work at camp this summer!  If you are responsible and caring and love spending time with children, being outdoors, playing and having a good time, we want you to apply to work at FBC Waco’s Summer Day Camp!

The following positions are available:

FT = Full-time position (40hrs/week); PT = Part-time Position (hours vary; 20 hours or less depending on position)

Counselor (FT; potential PT) – A counselor’s main responsibility will be to maintain the children’s safety while leading and participating actively with the children in games and activities.  A great counselor will be involved, caring, responsible, and trustworthy!

Head Counselor (FT) – The head counselor will maintain all the responsibilities of a counselor and will additionally serve as a leader among the counselor team.  He/she will serve as a liaison, when needed, between camp leadership and the counselor team.  A great head counselor will be a returning staffer and will do a great job of connecting with and encouraging various staff members.

Counselor/Lifeguard (FT) – A counselor/lifeguard will uphold all the responsibilities of a counselor and will assume the duties of a trained lifeguard while campers are at the pool.  A great counselor/lifeguard will be observant, focused, involved, caring, responsible, and trustworthy!  (Red Cross Lifeguard Certification will be required by the first day of camp.  FBC Day Camp can assist with this process.)

 

Support Staff Team Lead (FT) – The support staff team lead is ultimately responsible for managing and maintaining camp resources as well as leading the team of support staff to complete tasks necessary to this goal.  A great support staff team lead will have leadership skills, be highly organized, very trustworthy, and able to follow and give clear direction.

Support Staff (PT) – The support staff are those who make camp happen!  They ensure that equipment is ready when needed, snacks and drinks are prepared, and facilities are clean.  A great support staff team member will be detail-oriented, able to follow directions, and able to take initiative.
