Our goal is to provide an open atmosphere where students can know that they matter. Where students can be honest, open, heard, accepted, and equipped to live as a light for Christ, no matter what the cost! Our model for living comes from Matthew 22:37-40. Scripture is a grand story that teaches us how to have right relationships with God and each other in light of the resurrection of Christ. We strive to bring change in our students and the world through worship, witness, and community.
We are called to worship and love God first and foremost. We strive to worship God through song, prayer and study leading to practical change students can apply in their lives.
Love your neighbor
We are called to be a witness to our neighbors, near and far, to the work God has done in our lives. We do this by serving our community and empowering our students to be a light wherever they end up.
Love doing it together
Within all this, we strive to worship and witness together as a community. Scripture is about relationships, and we want to build strong relationships between our students to give them the foundation to share their own life as a living witness of God.
Camp Eagle 2017
Every summer the youth of FBC Waco take a week long trip to Camp Eagle in Rocksprings, TX. The week is full of outdoor adventure, swimming in the river, forging relationships, and learning biblical truths about the Christian faith. This year we will be attending camp from June 18th - 23rd, 2017. The theme of the camp is still a working progress for this year, but our scripture for the week will be come from the Gospels and Acts. You can click below to find out more about camp:
Earning credit towards your account
Between Mid-Winter Retreat, Camp Eagle, and everything else that comes up in the lives of students, things can get very expensive very quickly. This year we are going to give students many opportunities to earn credit towards their Mid-Winter and camp accounts to defer the cost. You can read more about the opportunities and how it will work by clicking below:
