Waco ISD Lunch services
In response to local school cancellations, Waco ISD has set up a number of drive-through feeding sites where students can receive free breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday until further notice. Our church has been asked to supply volunteers for the feeding site at Alta Vista Elementary (3637 Alta Vista Dr.). WISD staff will be doing all the serving and handling of food, but 1-2 volunteers are needed at each serving time to help in a variety of ways that may include directing traffic, helping with setup, or greeting families as they arrive. We are looking for 10-20 volunteers who would be willing to work a shift in the next week, starting tomorrow (Thursday). If you would like to help, please contact Ryan at and specify your preferred day and preferred meal shift. Breakfast runs 8:00-9:30 and lunch runs 11:00-12:30. Both one-time and recurrent volunteers are welcome.
Members of our congregation who are still needed at their place of employment are in need of childcare. If you would be willing to volunteer your time for these families please contact Robin at
