COVID-19 Response Opportunities

main image

With the outspread of COIVD-19  members of our community and congregation are in need of some assistance. Below you will find a list of opportunities to serve our community during this time.

If you are at high risk to contract or spread COVID-19, please prioritize the safety of yourself and others rather than volunteering pray over these opportunities.

Providing Weekend Lunches

Hey church family,

Thanks again for your generous donations this week. We were able to deliver food on Fridays to dozens of families in need, plus give away food and supplies to dozens more who showed up on our curb!

Because this process may go on for some time, we are encouraging families with last names A-K to donate this week, and families with last names L-Z to donate next week. Donations may be dropped off Monday-Thursday 10am-2pm. They can be brought to the back door of the fellowship hall at 6th & Clay. The item list includes:

  • Food: Bread, cooking oil, milk, lunchmeat, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, granola bars,  pasta, spaghetti sauce, ramen, soup, canned meat, canned vegetables, rice

  • Baby items: Diapers (all sizes), formula, wipes

  • Cleaning supplies: Laundry detergent, dish soap, bleach, paper towels

  • Personal Hygiene: Toilet Paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine products, deodorant

  • School supplies: Spiral notebooks, Pencils, pencil sharpeners, pens, crayons, markers, coloring books

If you would like to volunteer anytime next week, please sign up at https://calendly.com/fbcwaco/ or contact Ryan directly.

Thanks again to each of you for the role you are playing, including with prayer. We are grateful for each of you, and can't wait to see you soon.
