Outdoor Worship Service
Outdoor Worship at FBC Waco this Sunday
“I rejoiced with those who said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord.’” —Psalm 122:1
We invite you to join us for a brief outdoor worship service this Sunday evening at 7:00. We will gather outside the Activity Center (across 5th Street from the main church building). You may sit outside or remain inside your vehicle and tune in to the service through FM radio. The details below will help you to prepare for worship:
- Dress is extremely casual. Come dressed comfortably for the evening heat.
- Please park based on how you plan to participate in the service. If you plan to sit outside and your mobility permits, please park in the lot along Clay Avenue and walk across 5th Street to our seating area. If you plan participate from your vehicle or prefer not to cross the street, please park enter the 5th Street lot from the Webster Avenue entry. Members of our safety team will greet you and direct you to the best location to view the service.
- If you would like to sit outdoors, please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. Safety team members will help you find a location safely distanced from other participants.
- Please wear a face mask, especially if you plan to sit outside. These protective measures express love for one another as we take precautions for our neighbors’ safety.
- We will celebrate the Lord’s Supper together as part of our worship. Ministers wearing masks and gloves will offer you the elements in individual sealed bags as you arrive. You may also bring your own elements from home if you prefer.
- We encourage the young and young-at-heart (everyone!) to bring a bell to ring during the service. We’ll explain more that evening!
- Please use the restroom before you come. Limited restroom access will be available, but it is safer for everyone if you can wait until back home.
We recognize that personal circumstances may cause some of you to wait to return to church, and we encourage everyone to make wise decisions. We will continue to broadcast our Sunday morning services remotely for the next few weeks, and streaming services will continue indefinitely. We are so excited for all who are able to gather together again and worship the Lord on Pentecost Sunday. We hope to see you Sunday at 7:00!
